A Look into PMV electric – Mumbai-based EV startup

EVs have been Mumbai-based startup PMV Electric’s focus since its conception, and the company has finally launched its EaS-E microcar in India at Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

PMV Electric, founded by Mr. Kalpit Patel, is a Mumbai-based EV startup with the goal of building India’s First Fully Electric Smart Microcar for everyday use. EAS-E® will come with numerous high-end benefits like cruise control, feet-free driving in traffic, remote parking assistance, and many more.

The primary mission of EaS-E, which stands for Ecofriendly And Sustainable Electric, is to provide affordable and sustainable cars that can serve as your everyday vehicle. EaS-E seeks to mitigate global challenges such as pollution, climate change, urban congestion, and parking difficulties.

Upon presenting the vehicle, Kalpit Patel, Founder of PMV Electric said:

“We are thrilled to be officially unveiling the product. This will be a significant milestone for the company as we have built a world-class product made by an Indian Company. We look forward to electrifying the nation and introducing a brand new segment called the Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV), purpose-built for everyday use.”

The new PMV EaS-E model is 2,915mm in length and 1,157mm wide. The ground clearance is 2,087mm and it weighs an estimated 550 kg.

PMV EaS-E is said to have a delivery range of up to 200km. It likely has a 10 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery which can generate a maximum power of 20hp. The design for the EV is based on a “Smart Car”, meaning that it will be small and compact. Some of its features include a clamshell bonnet, a squared-out grille with full-width LED DRL, circular LED headlamp units, and a raked windscreen.

The new PMV EaS-E electric car is selling for Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom price) but only to the first 10,000 customers. If you’re interested in buying one, go to PMV’s website and pay an initial amount of Rs 2,000 as a deposit. The company has already claimed that they have received more than 6,000 bookings for this new EVCar.

The top speed of the EV is 70 km. It can go from 0-40 km/h in 5 seconds. There will be three battery options to choose from with this car model. The company promises that the EV’s battery will last for at least 120 km, but it could potentially offer a range of up to 200 km.

Although it may not be the newest car on the market, the PMV EaS-E offers everything one could want in a vehicle. With features like a digital infotainment system, keyless entry, cruise control, and remote park assist; this car has it all.
