Amazon Prime Gaming could soon launch in India to boost PC Gaming Market

This news is sure to get gamers across the country excited. It looks like Amazon Prime Gaming, which was launched back in 2020, could soon be available to Indian gamers. This comes after reports that Amazon has been testing its gaming platform in India for some time now. The PC gaming service, which is part of Amazon’s Prime membership, debuted in 2020 in India. It originally only offered bonus in-game content.

This time, however, Amazon seems to be having a fully-fledged launch of Prime Gaming with free PC games and exclusive content that other countries such as the USA and UK have been enjoying–but at no extra cost.

Rishi Alwani, an industry insider revealed that Amazon India has created a specific Prime Gaming page on its site which reads, “Prime Gaming is now in India.” However, if users click on the option for Games or in-game content, they receive an error message stating that “Prime Gaming is not available.”

It’s possible that Amazon is testing its Prime Gaming program in India, based on the recent banners and teaser page we’ve seen. If so, a formal launch may not be far behind.

According to the page, with Prime Gaming-

“You can unlock instant access to tons of exclusive content for your favorite games and a rotating collection of PC games… each and every month.”

Currently, it is uncertain which PC games will be accessible through Prime Gaming in India.

Prime Gaming is giving eight games away for free this month in the US, some of which include Quake, The Amazing American Circus, Rose Riddle 2: Werewolf Shadow, etc.

Amazon India is preparing to launch Prime Gaming, its gaming subscription service. While an official announcement has not yet been made, it seems likely that the Indian version of Prime Gaming will offer a similar experience to what is currently available in other countries.

This could be a major boon for the Indian PC gaming market. The launch of Amazon’s Prime Gaming in India could break the monopoly, providing gamers with more options when it comes to buying and playing games.

The Indian gaming market is still relatively young, but Amazon’s entry could be the shot in the arm it needs to reach its full potential. We’ll have to wait and see if Prime Gaming can make a splash when it launches in India. Stay tuned for updates!
