On Friday, Indian tech brand Noise announced Virat Kohli as its new brand ambassador for its smartwatches. Interestingly, Noise currently holds the title of the market leader in India for the smartwatch segment with a 29.5 percent share.
Gaurav Khatri, Co-Founder of Noise had this to say about the announcement:
“We are thrilled to welcome the Indian cricketing legend Virat Kohli as a Noisemaker. Our leadership in the smartwatch domain perfectly mirrors the journey Virat has undertaken to become a fan favorite the world over. With our continuous zeal to listen to the noise within, coupled with the need to deliver a power-packed performance, we are certain that his association with Virat will further bolster our connect with the young audience in India and overseas.”
Counterpoint Research recently reported that Noise had regained the top spot in the smartwatch segment worldwide, and they were third in the Indian market.
While talking about this partnership, the brand Noise says-
“Noise has emerged as the strongest Indian brand in the smartwatch category, reiterating its leadership for nine quarters. The brand’s journey demonstrates its consistency in delivery, ability to invent & reinvent, and mass appeal — attributes that India’s most popular cricketer Virat Kohli exemplifies.”
During his time at the brand, Kohli will be integral in developing a comprehensive campaign that involves all touchpoints. He becomes part of the group that already includes Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu and cricketer Rishabh Pant.
